I began calling games in the Maritime Hockey League in the 2008/2009 season. I spent four seasons with the Pictou County Weeks Junior A Crushers before moving. When the MHL's Halifax franchise moved to Kentville, NS for the 2013/2014 season, I became the voice of the Valley Junior A Wildcats. All home games, regular season and playoffs, are streamed live on www.fasthockey.com, with me providing the live play-by-play.

In March 2014, I traveled to Budapest, Hungary for the IIHF World Women's Under 18 Ice Hockey Championships. The Hungarians were wonderful, and the tournament was so much fun. Hungary, Japan, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Czech Republic, USA and Canada took part. Canada won gold, USA silver, and the Czechs took bronze. Click the video to the right for highlights from the final game of the tournament between Canada and Team USA... a 5 - 1 win for Canada on Sunday, March 30th, 2014 to win their third straight title at this tournament.

In November 2012, I lent a hand at the World Junior A Hockey Challenge in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. I reported from between the benches during the Bronze Medal Game between Team Switzerland and Team Canada East, and interviewed players after the match for Fast Hockey and Hockey Canada.

Click the video to the right for post game interviews with Team Switzerland's Melvin Nyffeler, Swiss Head Coach Colin Muller, and Team Canada East's Mike Soucier.

Funny story... I also interviewed Melvin Nyffeler about twenty minutes before this video as he and his teammates celebrated on the ice after their bronze medal win. We were live when Melvin, struggling to find the words in English, told me he was "Just so happy we won this f***ing medal." So thank you to Nyffeler's English teacher for teaching him the important basics of the language. When I spoke Swiss German to the players and coaches that night, I kept it clean.
